    How often do you have to replace the filter?

    It is recommended to change it every 2-3 months or after 120 gallons. There is a dial built into the pitcher that you set each time you change your filter.

    Do I have to clean inside of dispenser once in a while? Is it easy to clean?

    Yes, we recommend to clean the unit every 2-4 months or whenever you change your filter. Unit is easy to disassemble and all you need is the soft side of a sponge and some mild soap.

    (Tip - we recommend keeping the unit away from sunlight since our filters remove all of the chlorine.)

    How much is it to replace the filter?

    The 120 Gallon Replacement filters for this unit are $49.00.

    Is the container BPA free?

    Yes, the entire unit is made from BPA free plastic and the filters are made from sugar cane plastic which is more eco friendly.

    Does it remove fluoride?

    OPTI's filters remove up to 80% of fluoride. We are always striving to improve our technology every day.

    What are the dimensions?

    OPTI Chill - Dimensions:

    3.5in Long x 8in Wide x 9.25in high

    4.25in long WITH the spigot

    Approximately how long does it take to filter?

    The top reservoir for tap water is roughly 1 gallon and the bottom reservoir is 2 gallons. You can expect to filter about 1 gallon every 1 hour to 1.5 hours if you fill the top reservoir completely (the more water that is on the top, the more pressure there is = faster filtration).

    So roughly about 2 hours to fill up the entire bottom reservoir (2 gallons). Our filter takes a little more time because of how tight our pores are. This allows us to filter out more than other brands and assure your water is safe.

    WE RECOMMEND you refill the top basin regularly to make sure you always have water after each use.

    Does this filter soften hard water to protect coffee machines from calcification problems?

    No. OPTI allows natural beneficial trace minerals such as calcium and magnesium to pass through. These minerals are naturally found in water and is what makes OPTI's filtration unique.

    Are you able to send me a new spigot? The one that came with mine is leaking from the actual spigot hole itself (not the interior/exterior seal)

    The water is not filtering through, what's wrong?

    Be sure to prime your filter with the priming syringe. If the problem persists, contact customer support and we will be happy to assist you.

    Does the pitcher have to be refrigerated. I prefer to drink room temperature water

    No, this does not need to be refrigerated. If you prefer you can keep it on your countertop or where ever it fits. Only thing we recommend is to keep it away from sunlight :)

    Does the 200 gal filter fit into my 2 gal container? Can it replace my 120 gal filter?

    We recommend the 120 gallon filter as the unit is created to have enough pressure for the smaller 120 gallon filter and not the larger 200 gallon filter.

    The water does not filter through, what's wrong?
